as far as i'm concerned, Elzhi shouldn't be left out of the list of best rappers alive by a long shot. Slum Village was around the same time Dilla & Dangermouse were pumpin' out promos & beattapes, trying to make their marks. El's gotta be one of the best to ever deliver words & content; he can flow with the best of them. "The Leftovers Unmixedtape" & "The Preface" have been in heavy rotation for the last month in some change. i'm not gonna front, i didn't know about "The Preface" until "The Leftovers Unmixedtape" dropped just recently. nevertheless, more than enough shxt for your speakers to kick out to you. hip-hop is dead? - i just really been thinking & believe that hip-hop is alive & breathing.. its just not being televised, marketed & heard like it should. want a taste of it? - get those two tapes. enjoy.
