Update.

so of course, i'm anticipating "Thank Me Later" from Drake come March & he recently did an interview with MTV about the opening/intro track called "Fireworks". peep the video.

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1627594/20091203/drake.jhtml

now, he's dropping it now hopefully in March because he still wants to work with a few people, including Sade. i can't really be mad at him wanting to make sure that the albums sounds great but at the same time, hes got alotta people waiting.. that also means his album sales are gonna be a little ferocious as well, if people would stop hatin' & just support the artist they're hating on in the comfort of their homes.. smh. he's confirmed a few tracks for "Thank Me Later" including "Fireworks", "Light It Up", & "Shut It Down" with The Dream.

The Madness.

in a sense, i've come into this Rich Boy state-of-mind lately.. but then again, its the same state-of-mind that i've always been in - its just gotten a little more in-depth lately.
i've been a fan of Rich Boy since his album, which stayed in the deck when i got it. i've been coppin' playing his mixtapes off & on, especially "Bigger Than The Mayor".. but there's so many things, from reading magazine interviews, internet interviews & new album info, that me & Rich Boy relate on & its the philosophy of "it is what it is".

he's one of the few people in the entertainment business that is true to himself, his craft & his fans, whether that fanbase be little or large. i've got the same thoughts on alotta the things that he speaks about & puts character in, such as loyalty, struggle & respect. right now, i'm constantly looking over my shoulder for people that i once believe wouldn't cross me, to potentially do just that. reading up & with Rich Boy has brought about an older mentality within myself that i said i was letting go of to become a better person.. in the essence & walk to become that "better person", i've achieved about 85% of that goal.. but now my "better" side is being taken for a weaker side..

the old me is sorta how Rich is: its either you like it or you don't; you're either gonna buy it or you don't; its either black or white.. that kinda thing. he doesn't really recognize too much bullshxt from anything or anyBODY - so when the hell did iiiii start doing it..? thats what i've been trying to figure out lately for the longest. i've let alotta things slide with ALOTTA people (& i exclude NO ONE when i say that..) the only thing about it is, i've kinda went back to picking up old pieces of me & everyone is looking at me like i aint familiar..

"..nigga, you was who you was 'fore you got hea.." /// Jay-Z

everytime a new year comes in & i say imma make change, i do.. expect nothing different for 2010. ya'll got less than 2 weeks to get ya'll thing together..

...ehhhhh..

whyyyyy is this bullshit coming out on December 21st????

i read on one site - "..hip-hop's new supergroup.." what the fck? yall only know 3 people that are making noise in that joint: Drake, Nicki Minaj with her FAKE ASS & Lil Wayne! EXPLAIN TO ME WHAT THE FCK A "GuddaGudda" is??!! i wasn't playing when i spoke about it on Twitter! Jae Millz.. who the hell is tryna hear him? he was hot like 4-5 years ago maybe.. he's a joooooke now! Tyga had one single - he's a jooooooke!! Travis from GymClassHeroes should be ashaaaamed to call him blood! then the rest of the team, no one knowsss! smh.. sickening.

DidntchuKNOW?

okay, so if you didn't get "New Amerykah Part One: 4th World War" by Erykah Badu, make sure you go get that joint before February 23rd because that joint dammit hot & also because Ms. Badu is dropping "New Amerykah Part II: Return Of the Ankh"... & i am hype as hell. her music has always so damn hot to me. she uses alotta imagery that alotta artists don't use, real eclectic & inspiring. Part One was politically correct & consciously genius.. like, she tapped into & represented the thoughts & emotions of everyone out in society that were more or less "afraid" to admit they felt the like the words/lyrics Erykah Badu was delivering.

"I called it 'Part II: The Return of the Ankh' because this album is the sister of the left side of my brain -- it is the right side," she says. so far she's got The Roots up on that joint, 9th Wonder, Lil' Wayne & Andre 3000.. now if SHE can find Andre, not just because she's got a kid with 'em, why can't anyone else? lol. this joint is looking like its her tapping into like, the early elements of her love for hip-hop so i'm definitely looking forward to this piece.

West Coast in the House.

i've been a fan of The Game's music as well as his attitude towards certain things since i was a senior in high school & "The Documentary" came out. i think i played THAT & Eminem's "Encore" album to pieces in that year when they both came out. since then, Game has dropped "Doctor's Advocate" & "LAX". "LAX" was cool but it lacked a few things & one of them was knock. "Doctor's Advocate" had Just Blaze behind it so it had more knock, since Dr. Dre wasn't the executive producer.

now he said that "LAX" was gonna be his last album but i knew that shxt was a lie when i heard it.. his 4th album is titled "The R.E.D. Album". it was suppose to be out back on December 8th but he was working with Dr. Dre on this joint & he didn't wanna rush Dre with HIS craft & finishings. i wouldn't rush Dre either, lol. you know what happened last time you crossed Dr. Dre wrong, lmao.

he's got a single for the streets out called "Krazy" but i don't really approve of it because its got Gucci Mane's GAY ass on it.. smh. *sigh. Game's gonna have Cool & Dre on this joint of course & they're actually behind the first single "Big Money". Akon, Polow Da Don, Timbaland & Jimmy Jonsin are just a few names that will show up in the credits for this joint.

what shocked me was him saying that he's gonna be dropping 4 other mixtapes before the year is out: "R.E.D. October", "Red Tape", "Paint The Town RED", & "The Redprint" --- all hosted by different DJs with "R.E.D. October" being hosted by DJ Drama. i think we all should check these mixtapes out being that they'll be preludes to the actual studio album.. for some reason i think "The R.E.D. Album" is gonna be better than his 2nd & 3rd album.. but then again it COULD be trash.. we'll just have to see.

Even Score.

if you watch the beginning of "I Am Legend" you'll see a billboard that promotes this movie for 2010.. i had one fckboy talk to me like he knew everything & told me that this movie wasn't coming out. i KNEW it was coming out because Christian Bale has talked about it a few times in a couple magazines.. & guess whos gonna be sitting in a theater chair looking at this? hahahaha! no release date as of yet but i've read the plot for this joint - priceless & ridiculously dope.

..everything but the right thing.

Zone.

i think when i got introduced to what they call "LOVEMUSIC" a couple years ago, i think that was one of the best decisions i've made for my life.. between devonwho, J-Rocc, Telepopmusick, GotanProject, AFTA-1, Nikko Gray, Dam-Funk, Flying Lotus & A Race Of Angels, i'm pretty much set.

i've always been a producer that created a concept that is visual in my HEAD before it were to hit the ears.. its kinda like working backwards; most producers & artists never understood it until it all came together. all of the artists i named are just a few that i listen to but are the main ones.

introduce yourself to something new.

Big Deal.

i think Clipse has got to be the most SPOILED set of people in creative arts & music.. i mean, they have a powerhouse behind them with music production - The Neptunes & The Sleepwalkers - then they've got Pharrell, Nigo & Marc Ecko all behind them in any fashion endeavors that they happen to do or have.. all they know is cocaine - what could they POSSIBLY know about fashion design?? - i'm just saying. i mean, i took inventory from "Lord Willin" to "Til The Casket Drops" & its like, i'm a fan of their flavor but umm - yall should be doing more numbers & making more progress or MAAAADE more progress music wise considering that this is the 3rd album & then having who you have behind you 80% of the time.. smh. spoiled bastards. lmao.
