you know.. when 50 let each member of G-Unit drop a solo album, i think alotta people liked Lloyd Banks' album "Hunger For More" better than anyone elses, minus 50's "Get Rich or Die Tryin". Yayo's was wack as hell, Young Buck's had some knock but it didn't supply you with anything worth shxt. now since Banks' first album, he dropped another studio album "Rotten Apple" which flopped.. since then, i don't what the hell has been going on with him or the rest of G-Unit. Young Buck isn't apart of G-Unit, after some sissy ass act by 50, Game was never apart of G-Unit but him & 50/G-Unit - they ended up beefing. now through all that damn beef, now Game's back on Aftermath. amazing. smh.
Banks' hadn't hit the mixtape scene too hard until lately with "Beamer, Benz or Bentley". the title track is okay; definitely something you can hear in a club & see all the wackest niggas try to stunt the hardest to. i've never understood mixtapes forreallydoh because they misdirect the artists' mainstream audience. its like, the mainstream audience wants to see you go as hard as you go on mixtapes; not water down your music just to make a $9.99 sale - the art of selling music IS to make money - but the art of MAKING music is being true to you, your craft & life.. something i really don't understand with Lil Wayne, but thats another story.
i'm looking for Banks' 3rd album because i've read the interviews he's had since "Rotten Apple" & you can see mental growth with him - so i wanna hear it. i wanna hear his production selection with improvement. everyone knows (well if you didn't imma tell you anyway) that G-Unit & Sha-Money XL don't go to big named producers for beats forreallydoh anymore. they go to the hood & find alotta underground producers & pay them a lower price & THEY save money. clever. i just wanna see what Lloyd Banks bring to the table, as being the only real member left of G-Unit thats hot enough to stand on his own.
